Will Bake For Food 2011
Hallo! Spot of tea? I trust you’ll need one, what with all of the treats you’ll acquire at Will Bake For Food 2011. It’s tomorrow, November 12, at the University Heights Center, near the University District Farmers Market.
Yours truly will be there … INCOGNITO!
Why? Because the only things more influential than tea and treats are tea and treats made by Seattle food bloggers, like Michael Natkin of Herbivoracious, Jess Thomson of Hogwash, Molly Wizenberg of Orangette, Jessie Oleson of CakeSpy, and many more. Organizers Jenny Miller (Rainy Day Gal) and Jenny Richards (Purple House Dirt) have gathered more than 50 bakers! Little do they know how perfectly this plays into my Delicious Plan. If I had extremities, I would do a little dance.
At the sale, you can trade non-perishable food items or a monetary donation for tickets to spend on blogger-made baked goods. All donations go to the Emergency Feeding Program of Seattle and King County. Last year the bakers raised $1,000 and collected one ton of food.
The event begins at 11 a.m. and lasts until 2 p.m. I’ll see you there … but you won’t see me.
